Nata a Milano nel 1965. Laureata in Lettere all’Università Statale di Milano. Sposata e mamma di Francesca e Davide. Giornalista prima ad Avvenire e, dal 1994, al Corriere della Sera, dove si è occupata di cronaca milanese e di politica nazionale: ha poi coordinato il progetto Casa Corriere ad Expo. Da sempre ha seguito anche i temi del sociale ed è oggi responsabile di Buone Notizie – L’Impresa del bene, lo spazio settimanale del Corriere della Sera che ha progettato per raccontare le buone pratiche del mondo del Terzo settore, delle imprese sociali e di chi non si arrende. Dirige due appuntamenti annuali legati a Buone Notizie: il Premio Bilancio di Sostenibilità e Milano Civil Week, appuntamento entrato a far parte del palinsesto delle “week” milanesi. Elisabetta Soglio ha scritto con Giovanna Ambrosoli il libro “Chiamatemi Giuseppe”, sulla storia di padre Giuseppe Ambrosoli, e con Nico Acampora “Vietato calpestate i sogni” sulla storia di PizzAut, primo ristorante dove camerieri, barman e pizzaioli sono soltanto ragazzi autistici. Ha ricevuto diversi riconoscimenti per il progetto di Buone Notizie, tra cui la benemerenza civica del Comune di Milano. Il presidente Mattarella le ha conferito l’onorificenza di Cavaliere al merito della Repubblica.
Born in Milan in 1965, she graduated in Literature from the University of Milan. She is married and the mother of Francesca and Davide.
She began her journalistic career at Avvenire and, in 1994, joined Corriere della Sera, where she covered Milan news and national politics. She later coordinated the Casa Corriere project at Expo.
She has always followed social issues closely and is now responsible for Buone Notizie – L’Impresa del bene, the weekly section of Corriere della Sera that she designed to tell the stories of good practices in the world of the Third Sector, social enterprises and people who refuse to give up.
She directs two annual events linked to Buone Notizie: the Sustainability Report Award and Milano Civil Week, which has become part of Milan’s official calendar of “weeks”.
Elisabetta Soglio co-authored with Giovanna Ambrosoli the book Chiamatemi Giuseppe, about the story of Father Giuseppe Ambrosoli, and with Nico Acampora Vietato calpestare i sogni, about the story of PizzAut, the first restaurant where waiters, bartenders and pizza makers are all young autistic people.
She has received several awards for the Buone Notizie project, including the Civic Merit Award from the Municipality of Milan. President Mattarella awarded her the honour of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
