Ivana Faccioli, nata a Codogno nel 1972, ha da sempre amato follemente i libri e la scrittura. Negli anni dell’adolescenza si è cimentata nella scrittura di poesie, ma ora preferisce decisamente occuparsi di notizie. Laureata in lettere all’Università Cattolica di Milano con una tesi sulla promozione della letteratura su quotidiani, radio e tv, già durante l’Università collabora con una emittente locale, anzi ultra locale, di Casalpusterlengo come aspirante reporter. È stata praticante giornalista ad Antennatre Lombardia dal 1997 al 1999. Per l’emittente regionale realizza servizi per il telegiornale e conduce diverse rubriche. Arriva nel 1999 nella galassia RTL 102.5. La prima esperienza è come corrispondente di RTL Milano. Poi, dopo poco meno di due anni, il passaggio all’emittente nazionale. Da quel momento, decide di esplorare il nuovo amore per la radio in tutte le sue forme. Ha condotto notiziari, realizzato servizi e interviste, condotto lunghi speciali e trasmissioni in occasione dei principali eventi nazionali e internazionali. Più volte è stata inviata in Italia e all’estero. È diventata vice Direttrice delle News nel 2020 e, dal giugno 2021, è Direttrice responsabile della redazione. Cura i contenuti editoriali di RTL 102.5, Radio Zeta e Radiofreccia e i rispettivi siti e social. Tra i campi d’interesse, la politica internazionale e la cultura. Innamorata di Gerusalemme, degli scrittori Yehoshua, Marquez e Allende, e dei registi Spielberg, Sorrentino e Inarritu, sogna di aprire una libreria in cui trascorrere le giornate tra il profumo dei volumi e il sottofondo della musica di De Gregori. Tra i suoi romanzi preferiti “Il Signor Mani”, “Cent’anni di solitudine” e “La casa degli spiriti”. Passerebbe volentieri tutte le sere al cinema, l’unico luogo in cui riesce davvero a staccare la mente dalle notizie. Il film della sua vita è in assoluto “Schindler’s List”, anche per il fatto che ha trascorso molto tempo ad approfondire fatti e contesto della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e della Shoah. Ricorda con grande emozione l’intervista alla Senatrice Liliana Segre e la visita ad Auschwitz.
Ivana Faccioli was born in Codogno in 1972 and has always had a deep love for books and writing. During her teenage years she tried her hand at poetry, although today she decidedly prefers working with news.
She graduated in Literature from Università Cattolica in Milan with a thesis on the promotion of literature in newspapers, radio and television. While still at university, she began collaborating with a local — indeed, ultra-local — broadcaster in Casalpusterlengo as an aspiring reporter.
From 1997 to 1999 she worked as a trainee journalist at Antennatre Lombardia, where she produced news reports and hosted several programmes for the regional broadcaster. In 1999 she joined the RTL 102.5 world. Her first experience was as a correspondent for RTL Milano; then, after just under two years, she moved to the national broadcaster.
From that moment on, she chose to explore her new love for radio in all its forms. She has presented news bulletins, produced reports and interviews, and hosted long specials and broadcasts covering major national and international events. On several occasions, she has worked as a correspondent in Italy and abroad.
She became Deputy News Director in 2020 and, since June 2021, has been Editor-in-Chief of the newsroom. She oversees the editorial content of RTL 102.5, Radio Zeta and Radiofreccia, as well as their respective websites and social media channels. Her main areas of interest include international politics and culture.
Passionate about Jerusalem, the writers Yehoshua, Márquez and Allende, and the directors Spielberg, Sorrentino and Iñárritu, she dreams of opening a bookshop where she could spend her days surrounded by the scent of books and the music of De Gregori playing in the background. Among her favourite novels are Mr Mani, One Hundred Years of Solitude and The House of the Spirits.
She would gladly spend every evening at the cinema, the only place where she can truly take her mind off the news. The film of her life is, without question, Schindler’s List, also because she has spent a great deal of time studying the events and context of the Second World War and the Shoah. She recalls with great emotion her interview with Senator Liliana Segre and her visit to Auschwitz.
